Welcome to the first magical moment of the year! New moons are great opportunities for magic. And, this new moon is extremely powerful with a conjunction of the Moon, Sun, and our beloved friend Pluto. Pluto is the planet of transformation, the planet of death and resurrection, and the ruler of Scorpio. Therefore, this Capricorn New Moon 2021 has a strong Scorpio flavor. Let’s explore the current astrological influences a bit further and consider joining us for our New Moon Sparc Circle.

Structure and Security

Capricorn’s ruler is Saturn, the planet of structure. During this new moon, we may feel the call to radically change some of the deeply ingrained structures within our psyches, as Capricorn gives us the energy to build. If you are looking to make some fundamental changes, now is the opportunity that the universe offers you to define your new intentions—and define how the “new you” will be born.

If you are a Capricorn, Cancer, Libra, or Aries and were born close to mid-month, you may feel the call to radically change the structures in your life in a deeper way.

With Saturn, we need to be straight forward within business affairs. Pluto is not the most forgiving type, so any “easy” opportunities should be carefully examined. Don’t take any free rides. With the influence of Saturn, it’s better to work patiently, even slowly, and in a more secure manner.

You Say You Want a Revolution?

A quintile between this new moon to Chiron brings the possibility that the profound change we may embrace during this cycle could very well be the balm to our Chiron wound. Working with Chiron (the wounded healer) is not easy. Our sensitivity may be heightened and deep feelings may be stirred, but the level of healing we may achieve is definitely worth the price.

As the Saturn/Jupiter conjunction is still unfolding, responsibility and joy are the keywords to remember. Mercury is joining this conjunction and these three planets (Saturn/Jupiter/Mercury) are squaring Uranus.

This means that the dynamic of these two giants is touching our soul, bringing the conflict between the old and the new—freedom and oppression—out more than ever.

Uranus brings the word revolution to the table. Ideally, we could use this rebellious energy to free ourselves from the enemies we carry within, to free our conscious energy and redirect it to our spiritual and material growth. Relationships

The extraordinarily beautiful Venusian energy is leading the way these days as a morning star, bringing some intensity to our feelings. Venus is also forming a trine with Uranus, adding a uranian intensity and a sense of enjoyment, excitement, and independence in our relationships.

With Venus in Capricorn, we may feel the need to settle down within our relationships. We may feel the need to have a house, a garden, and a dog, or we may feel like analyzing our relationships to determine if they are useful or worthy within the scope of our personal goals. Venus is also squaring Chiron, so we may also feel some emotional pain arise to work through in our relationships.

Capricorn New Moon 2021

All zodiacal energies can be expressed in a healthy way or an unhealthy way. There are higher expressions of these energies as well as lower expressions.

Capricorn is the energy that helps us to create structure in our lives and give us the proper use of the resources our soul has gathered on its journey. The energy of Capricorn can also be used to build buildings, bridges, and cities. All these expressions could be skillfully crafted within our personalities, but structuring a balanced life that allows us to build the temple of our heart may be the highest expression of the Capricorn energy. By doing so, we achieve spiritual independence. This invites us to consider a spirituality, and way of living, where the only guru is the one living in the temple we have built in our hearts.

“The relations of the soul to the divine spirit are so pure, that it is profane to seek to interpose helps.” - Ralph Waldo Emerson
