Company: The Pigeons Heart
Astrological sign: Pisces
Location: At the moment, Genevieve is in lock-down near an isolated beach in rural New Zealand on the North Island. When it’s not the COVID crisis, she spends her time between Ojai, CA, New York City and a mountain village in North India.
Passions/Hobbies: She is passionate about being able to laugh and cry at the same time, nature, the non-sensical, magic, the elements and space, tender eyes and being a messenger — through writing, astrology readings, performance and song. While infinitely inquisitive, it’s our natural ability to be with things— including ourselves — as they are, that inspires her most.
Professional Background: Genevieve has obtained a BA from Barnard College, Columbia University in English/Film and went on to pursue a Masters in Experimental Theatre from Sarah Lawrence College. For the last three years she has been working as the Associate Director of Giving at an international nonprofit, Lotus Outreach, dedicated to empowering at-risk women and children living in poverty in India and Cambodia. It’s a wonderfully creative nonprofit running 17+ programs to provide access to education, training and care (and protection) to those in need. She is also a writer, aspiring performer/singer and astrologer at The Pigeon’s Heart.
Favorite Quote: ”Historically, pandemics have forced humans to break with the past and imagine their world anew. This one is no different. It is a portal, a gateway between one world and the next.” —Arundhati Roy.
